Privacy Policy

Overview

OtterCore, LLC ("OtterCore", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit otter-core.com or use the applications we publish, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to operate the site and the products you've purchased.

Information we collect

Contact form submissions

When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide. The submission is delivered to us by email through Resend. We also log the IP address of the request for spam and abuse prevention.

Purchases

Purchases of our paid applications are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record. They collect the information needed to complete the transaction (billing details, payment method, jurisdiction for tax). We receive a record of the order — your name, email, license key, and the product purchased — so we can deliver the software and provide support. Their privacy policy governs the checkout itself.

Mobile app subscriptions

Mobile app subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Those platforms collect billing details and provide us only with aggregated and anonymised statistics. We do not see your payment method.

Bot protection

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish humans from automated abuse. Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie and processes low-entropy fingerprint signals about your browser. It does not track you across sites.

Analytics

If enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and cookieless. It records aggregate page-view counts without tracking individual visitors across sites or sessions. We never use third-party tracking pixels.

Application telemetry

Our desktop and mobile applications do not include analytics, crash reporting, telemetry, or any kind of usage tracking. They run locally and do not phone home.

How we use information

• To respond to inquiries you send through the contact form.
• To deliver the software you purchase and provide license keys.
• To provide customer support, send transactional notifications (purchase confirmation, license issues, security advisories), and notify you of major updates to products you own.
• To prevent abuse, spam, and fraud.
• To comply with legal obligations (tax records, lawful requests from authorities).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers below who help us operate the business.

Service providers

• Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, CDN, bot protection (Turnstile), and optional analytics.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (for the contact form and license/order notifications).
• Lemon Squeezy — merchant of record for paid software sales.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — mobile app distribution and billing.

Retention

Contact form messages and the associated metadata are retained for as long as reasonably needed to handle your inquiry and follow up, then deleted. Purchase records are retained for the period required by tax law in our jurisdiction (generally seven years).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@otter-core.com. We respond within 30 days.

Residents of the EU/UK can also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; Virginia, Colorado, and other US-state residents have similar rights under their respective laws.

Children

Our products and this site are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

International transfers

Our service providers (Cloudflare, Resend, Lemon Squeezy) may process data in the United States or other jurisdictions. They participate in standard international data transfer frameworks (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent) to safeguard transfers from the EU/UK.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
